Dementia Experience 2024

Join us at the Citrus Springs Clubhouse on Saturday, February 24, 2024, for an enlightening event: a free training session on the Dementia Experience, presented by the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of IRC.
This unique experience is designed to offer insight into the world of dementia in just 20 minutes. To participate, sign up for a time slot between 9 am and 4 pm.
This training aims to foster understanding among families and professionals, helping them better grasp the needs of individuals grappling with dementia and other memory-related issues. Participants will gain valuable insights into how individuals with dementia perceive their surroundings, process auditory stimuli, navigate daily tasks, and more. Through a brief experiential exercise, attendees can step into the shoes of those living with dementia momentarily.
