Master Review Procedures for Village Fines Decision Appeals
To file an appeal regarding a Village Fine Review Committee’s Decision, the owner or builder must submit a Brief explaining of the whole issue and the amount of the fine no later than thirty (30) working days after the owner or builder receives the fines decision from their Village Board of Directors. The owner or builder must describe in writing how the fine was unreasonable or invalid. This brief must be submitted with copies of all documents supporting the challenged fine to the following address:
Citrus Springs Master Board of Directors
565 Citrus Springs Blvd SW
Vero Beach, FL 32968
The Master Board will review the documentation and determine the complaint’s validity. If the complaint is determined to be a valid complaint, the Master Board of Directors will set up a time and date to hear both sides of the complaint appeal. At the meeting the Master Board of Directors will meet with the owner or builder and a representative from the Village Board of Directors. The Master Board of Directors will review the documents and oral responses and provide a written decision no later than fifteen (15) working days from the hearing.
If the Village Fine Review Committee decision is upheld, the decision will be final.
